If you fill his live CD or earlier DVD, you’ll accept this contains almost all unusual material. One of the bonus features is his encore in which he does requests from the audience from his material. It’s stuff you’ve heard before, but the droll plot he points that out is hilarious (”You’re out there going, ‘Yep, that’s the intention I memorized it.’”) His first Comedy Central Presents appearance is included and there’s no repeats from the “Standing Up” special in it. If this is your first introduction to Brian’s comedy, it’s a enormous plot to open. Grab his live CD next. The CC Presents half-hour point to has some of that material on it, but it’s smooth laughable.
I wish there were more comedians out there like Brian. He manages to be comical without ever being crude. I don’t know why he isn’t more accepted, but with his CC sponsored national tour maybe he’ll finally procure the exposure he deserves.

I had never heard of Brian Regan, then I came across his stand-up special on Comedy Central. He is absolutely hilarious. When I first watched it my Mom was over and I was alarmed I’d slay up turning it off 10 minutes into the expose because of inappropriate language or outrageous state. To our delight there was nothing of the kind. And he has priceless facial expressions. He’s very similar to Seinfeld - in that his routines focus on the mundane, ordinary things in life, but somehow he manages to design it laughable. His bits include subjects such as TV, airlines/airports and politics. Simple ideas - with silly twists - and absolutely no language or sexual references. It CAN be done!

I remember watching this movie on cable ages ago as a kid and I enjoyed it.Now as an adult I appreciate it: Ample acting, spacious dp work,tale is comic,sexy,shadowy and sassy. Special effects are not poor at all considering it’s a 1987 flick.

However, like another reviewer pointed out, the only disagreement between this DVD release and the one from 1997 is the case. The image and sound are not abominable but the movie hasn’t been restored at all.Some scratches and white speckles are note throughout the film.
My advice is, if you bear the 1997 version of this DVD don’t end your money buying this reissue…Unless you like the unusual cloak better.
Beautiful, intense, humorous and putrid panic film that mixes with the “toxic” humour of Jack Nicholson as the devil. Cher, Susan Surandon and Michelle Phiefer are top-notch in their roles as three sexy women bored out of their mind by their lives, and wish for the perfect man to come. When a peculiar and mysterious man by the name of Darrell Van Horne arrives in their Original England town, he bewitches the three friends and they reach together as one and become their opposites, as this unfamiliar man entangles them into a world of magic, witchcraft, sex and food. When the girls realize that this man may be the devil in disguise, they assume precaution and choose to rebel against him…that is until he finds out and their troubles acquire even worse. This film is wonderfully scored by John Williams (Jaws, Hook) and his music suits the film amazingly. The ending to me, as others have said the opposite, is totally fit for this film and those babies are very cute! All the actors and actresses eager, especially Jack Nicholson and four lead girls, are absolutely first-rate in their roles. Overall, I’d have to disagree with those reviewers and critics who say this is a poor movie. It is not…it’s very riveting and silly, with thrills and chills mixed in with it. Devine entertainment.

Star Meander is one of the biggest franchises ever. I first came across it with The Next Generation series. So, when the blu ray of the current came out, I jumped on it. The blu ray presentation–in terms of quality of image and sound–is unparalleled for any series of its time. I was blown away that a series this obsolete could watch and sound this righteous. Now the sincere material was a exiguous more uneven than I expected. Some of it is sparkling (Menagerie, Balance of Panic, Court Martial), some of its capable, but there is some that is awful, really dreadful (The Man Trap, Miri, Shore Leave) . I watched in content disbelief as Sulu pranced around in one episode swinging a sword! Yes, there are number of these tainted moments. Of course, there are moments of brilliance and episodes where you observe the future potential of the series. Menagerie Parts 1 & 2 is one of those. Jeffrey Hunter is sparkling and the account is one of the best of all Star Dawdle. BTW, Kirk and Spock are really, really satisfactory episode after episode. There are a number of gracious guest performances and even some surprising ones (like Joan Collins) . Overall, it’s ok, but not the best.

I was beginning to wonder if James Bond was dull, but along comes Daniel Craig to breathe unique life into the role, giving us a lean, mean 007 that blows previous Bonds away. Martin Campbell went encourage to the basics, retooling Bond and giving him a powerful more physical presence, reminiscent of Sean Connery. From the opening sequence we search for we are in for a right treat, as Campbell takes nothing for granted. There is also one of the best villains in new years with Mads Mikkelsen as the icy blooded Le Chiffre. He is a considerable more believable villain than Spectre and relies on remarkable simpler methods of getting his share of flesh from someone.

This time around our stars are Lana Turner and Juanita Moore, supported by Sandra Dee and Susan Kohner as the respective and rebellious daughters who perform their mothers lives a living hell, with Lana’s daughter Sandra falling in care for with her mother’s beau and Juanita’s daughter Susan sure to defeat the racist society in which she lives by passing for white. All four actresses give it everything they’ve got, which means they all emote to the nth degree as they suffer through every emotional upheaval the screenwriters can devise.

Turner and Dee are essentially Turner and Dee. The staunch surprises here are Moore and Kohner. Saddled with a myth that composed keeps the dusky woman in the kitchen while the white woman plays, Moore nonetheless gives an outstanding and ultimately heartbreaking performance, and Kohner matches her every bit of the method as the wayward daughter who makes one dreadful choice after another in her refusal to knuckle under to a repressive society. It is a colossal pity that neither actress went on to equally high-profile roles and films, but the times were against them–as the very nature of the film’s chronicle should design abundantly certain.

The oppression of apt segregation had taken its toll and a prime example of this burnout is Susan Kohner’s Sara Jane. This character had the perfect mother, but society told Sara Jane at a very young age that her mother would NEVER be first-rate enough because of her dismal skin color. Sara Jane chafes at the limitations society places on her. She doesn’t want to be associated with maids, chauffeurs or going through succor doors. She wants more, and as a `white woman’ she can rep it. Many viewers who peep this film will be furious at Sara Jane, however, one must remember that ‘black’ was not yet fine, and this is the pre-civil rights era.

Lana Turner’s Laura Meredith asks Sara Jane, `have I ever treated you differently? ‘ The movie makes this retort abundantly definite although Sara Jane answers `no.’ The audience sees Turner’s pigeonholing of Sara Jane and Annie. Even after years of living together - she actually says to Annie, `I didn’t know that you had any friends.’
Laura Meredith is a character that represents society as a whole in this film. She is the popular rush and therefore, pleasantly clueless about matters that doesn’t affect her, while aiming for and achieving her dreams. Through the passage of time Laura becomes rich, successful, and a star - and for Annie, well, she remains the maid.
The DVD of this movie is extremely unpleasant. The transfer is down just dirty in one scene and grainy throughout the film. There is one scene where Sara Jane is running down the stairs and she freezes in action. Universal didn’t even care enough about the viewer to save this popular play-pause in a point where it would be seamless. This is a classic film that has been given anything but classic attention - extremely sloppy work from Universal.

First, I want everyone to know that I care for the first two Scooby-Doo live action films. I understanding the casting was done well, the stories were magnificent, and they looked obliging. I notion the second one was a microscopic cooler because it had a lot of the “monsters” from the new Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? series coming to life.

With that being said, I was a runt concerned with this third entry in the series. Usually a movie with this many red flags spells absolute anguish and almost guarantees a turd of a film. Let’s spell out the red flags: its direct-to-DVD, it’s a prequel, it’s totally recast, and it’s got a unique director. Wow. That’s a lot to have going against a movie. Interestingly enough, it didn’t point to to be honest for this flick.
Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Begins somehow rises up above the crowded direct-to-DVD sequel / prequel cesspool and actually is successful at being though-provoking and not completely cheap-looking. You can teach that director Brian Levant really wanted to rush the stereotype that these types of movies regain and present that he was serious about the subject matter and franchise. Warner definitely played it shiny with Levant, being that he is responsible for bringing to the vast veil some very successful family movies and iconic captivating TV shows like Beethoven, The Flintstones feature films, Jingle All The Contrivance, and Are We There Yet?

The casting was done delicate well. All the actors fit the parts, although not without a few minor problems. Robbie Arnell would have completely been convincing in the piece of Fred, except that for some reason he wasn’t made to bleach his hair blond for the film. What was the reasoning slow that? I mean, he did steal the fraction of an iconic blond character. The least he could have done is bleach his hair out to set aside the finishing touches on the role. My only other plight was with Cleave Palatas’ performance as Shaggy. He was really kindly and definitely looked the share. It unbiased seemed like he was going a petite overboard with the cracking squeaky disclose sometimes. It seemed a limited forced at times. I concept it was cold that they kept Frank Welker as the protest of Scooby-Doo, as he has been doing the character for the past seven years in different series and movies.
Even the special effects were done well. The ghosts all looked unbiased as worthy as any of the ones in the two movies they released in the theaters. I have to say, though, that there were scenes of the Scooby gang that were missing Scooby-Doo that felt kind of awkward. It almost seemed like they slice him out of the scenes to do money on their CGI budget. There were some parts with Scooby that looked a small less than stellar and where it looked like the actor in the shot with him was having difficulty interacting with an invisible dog. They were all minor problems, though. It shouldn’t buy away from your viewing pleasure.
Overall, I have to say that I was graceful impressed with this movie. It was kind of fun to inspect the gang paint The Mystery Machine, meet each other, and solve their first crime together. If you’re a Scooby-Doo fan, I’m exquisite positive this movie will live up to your standards.
Scooby Doo: The Mystery Begins has it’s cheesy moments, yet it’s surprisingly distinguished better than the other 2 live action films. Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini were the only pleasant casting as Shaggy and Velma in those movies. While here Chop Palatas and Hayley Kiyoko are also beneficial as Shaggy and Velma. But Robbie Amell at least is a distinguished better Fred than Freddie Prinze Jr. who over-acted and tried too hard to spy frigid when he honest came off dorky. While I liked how Kate Melton doesn’t act as dimwitted as Daphne as Sarah Michelle Gellar. Her Daphne is actually dazzling incandescent and uses her brain honest as noteworthy as Velma.
They all bond Breakfast Club style in detention while reading mystery novels. I doubt Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Daphne could even read. Daphne isn’t meant to be plain, while Fred was simply unbiased played bad by Freddie Prinze Jr. This movie took a powerful better reach that’s more like the demonstrate, well the diagram the characters act anyway. It didn’t really need the scene where Shaggy is testing a gas camouflage by having Scooby fart lol. I peaceful actually found the movie to be fun and I assume they should gain a live action prove with this cast.

Unfortunately, I didn’t acquire into Arrested Development until slow in its second season. However, I was immediately curved. Meanwhile, Lindsay’s husband Tobias (David Unfavorable) left for Vegas with George Sr’s secretary Kitty (Judy Greer) to join the Blue Man Group. Also, cousins George Michael (Michael Cera) and Maeby (Alia Shawkat) shared their first passionate kiss. Season three starts off Michael going to prison to visit his “father” for the first time in 3 months to mumble him that the Bluth Developing Company is bouncing benefit. While there, he realizes that it is really Oscar late bars, so he takes his son George Michael on a hunt for the staunch George Sr. Upon finding him, the government allows George Sr. to remain under house arrest so that he can reconnect with his wife Lucille (Jessica Walter) . George immediately regrets the decision. Meanwhile, GOB is unknowingly reunited with his illegitimate son Steve Holt (Justin Grant Wade), a classmate of George Michael and Maeby who began searching for his father in the previous year after GOB made fun of him for not having a father (IRONY!) . This starts a immense arc piquant GOB and Steve who are the perfect duo until GOB realizes who Steve really is.

Soon, Michael starts dating a British woman named Rita (Charlize Theron) whom he meets while investigating his father’s claim that a British building company area him up to pick the tumble for building some houses in Iraq. As Michael’s relationship with Rita develops, we learn that there may be more to her than she is saying, especially since her creepy “uncle” Trevor (Dave Thomas) follows the couple around everywhere.

In the commercial for the episode good before it aired (which is fortunately included in the spot, because it adds humor to the episode and not seeing it would gain one of the Narrator’s lines a petite confusing), announcers said that “one of these characters would die”, and there was a rapid montage of most of the main characters and a few side characters. Turns out that the person who died was introduced in that episode and may not have even had a line of dialogue. Also, a lot of fans were hoping that HBO or Showtime would take the present up, and there were allusions to that speculation in the episode.
The last four episodes of the season may be some of the best in the show’s history. Featuring guest stars such as Reflect Reinhold, William Hung (in probably his greatest consume ever), Justine Bateman (Jason’s sister), Richard Belzer (playing his Detective John Munch character), and Ron Howard, making his first on-screen appearance on the note, we finally pick up out the truth about George Sr’s crimes, and Annyong Bluth (Justin Lee) delivers one of the finest twists imaginable.
While the season started off a tiny wearisome, it became astounding, and, despite it’s brevity, may be the best season of the note. Every episode from “The Ocean Walker” to “Harboring Resentment” (also known as “Development Arrested”) were pure gold. The show’s writers are all geniuses. I don’t know where some of the jokes were coming from, but they determined know how to arrive up with some hilariously bizarre situations. The year, in addition to coming up with large recent jokes, expanded a lot on past jokes. One of my favorites was that GOB’s puppet Franklin became an precise character in a sense, as opposed to a gag. Franklin even has his possess fanbase now (I’m one of them) . Unfortunately, due to the fact that the season was carve down to 13 episodes, there were plenty of things that the writers weren’t able to do. In the season premiere, there allusions to Buster getting a current hand, after losing it to a seal last year (pay attention to the scene when GOB and Steve Holt meet up for the first time) .

After all three seasons of unsuccessful ratings, FOX finally killed the expose. While I am very upset, I guess I have to hand it to FOX for sticking with the exhibit for so long (from a ratings stand-point, it should have been killed after season 1) . They believed in its greatness enough to give it so many chances (oddly, they didn’t really advertise for it, which probably afflict the ratings), and at least it went out detached at the top of its game. There are level-headed rumors going around that Showtime is planning on picking it up, so we may yet observe some more of this astronomical expose. DVDs were dazzling mighty invented so those few ARRESTED… fans could delight in their current note over and over. What a bright series!!! Thank God I can look it again. In Season 3, Fox moved this point to around so many times, I had pains taping all of them on my old-school VCR (although I’m certain joyful I got the last 4 episodes, even though Fox buried them next to the opening ceremony of the Olympics and then didn’t advertise them) . BUT, you fans out there know how vast it is to have them on DVD.
Season 3 was stellar. I’ve read a small griping that the quality slipped a runt…okay, maybe from A+++ to A+. Quiet lovely darn grand. The only fable line that tired me a microscopic bit was the stuff with Charlize Theron. She’s a decent actress, but I found her British accent unconvincing, and I plan the tale line went on too long.
Other than that, I’ve got no complaints. The episode where George Michael ends up in a retro looking flying jetpack, and flies over a minute model home park while crashing into Tobias dressed in a monster costume was so comic I wept. No joke. I did not believe it was possible to pick up 30 seconds of TV so laughable. We watched it over and over.
The final four episodes, when the legend finally wrapped itself up ravishing well, include extraordinary trips to Iraq, extraordinary guest appearances (including a very nice turn from Justine Bateman) and crisp, crisp acting all around.
It’s almost futile to portray the explain. If you haven’t seen it, you MUST peruse it, but you must launch with Disc 1. My family and I have had ARRESTED marathons…when Season 1 came out, we watched in one day, and later the same with Season 2. I know season 3 will be the same. I can only imagine the creative and logistical pain that went into it…how could that be sustained? And even though Fox kinda gave up on it mid season…they DID promote it a lot before then. And magazines raved about it. And it cleaned up award after award. But people didn’t tune in…you can’t blame Fox for cutting its losses (although WHY “The War at Home” or “Stacked” lasted more than 2 episodes each I don’t know) . Remember, Fox has stuck by “Malcolm in the Middle” and “King of the Hill” for many years past when their ratings dropped. Overall, I can’t be too upset with them.
I’d obvious feel different, though, if ARRESTED wasn’t out on DVD!! This is a MUST Have if there ever was such a thing!! Gawk IT!!!!

Unfortunately, I didn’t rep into Arrested Development until behind in its second season. However, I was immediately crooked. I could witness that it was a completely fresh kind of demonstrate, and far from your average sitcom. It’s one of the few comedy series I’ve seen that is serialized, meaning that events of one episode carry over into the next episode. Also, it is probably the only comedy I know that, in addition to constantly referencing past jokes, it actually references FUTURE jokes! The second season ended brilliantly with George Bluth, Sr. (Jeffry Tambor) fooling authorities into fascinating and incarcerating his twin brother Oscar (also Tambor) . George’s children Michael (Jason Bateman), GOB (Will Arnet), Lindsay (Portia de Rossi), and Buster (Tony Hale) vowed not to visit their “father” in prison for a few months so that he couldn’t manipulate him. Meanwhile, Lindsay’s husband Tobias (David Outrageous) left for Vegas with George Sr’s secretary Kitty (Judy Greer) to join the Blue Man Group. Also, cousins George Michael (Michael Cera) and Maeby (Alia Shawkat) shared their first passionate kiss. Season three starts off Michael going to prison to visit his “father” for the first time in 3 months to suppose him that the Bluth Developing Company is bouncing encourage. While there, he realizes that it is really Oscar slack bars, so he takes his son George Michael on a hunt for the staunch George Sr. Upon finding him, the government allows George Sr. to remain under house arrest so that he can reconnect with his wife Lucille (Jessica Walter) . George immediately regrets the decision. Meanwhile, GOB is unknowingly reunited with his illegitimate son Steve Holt (Justin Grant Wade), a classmate of George Michael and Maeby who began searching for his father in the previous year after GOB made fun of him for not having a father (IRONY!) . This starts a large arc spicy GOB and Steve who are the perfect duo until GOB realizes who Steve really is.

Soon, Michael starts dating a British woman named Rita (Charlize Theron) whom he meets while investigating his father’s claim that a British building company spot him up to buy the drop for building some houses in Iraq. As Michael’s relationship with Rita develops, we learn that there may be more to her than she is saying, especially since her creepy “uncle” Trevor (Dave Thomas) follows the couple around everywhere.
As the season develops, viewers finally win out the (most probable) cause of death for Michael’s leisurely wife Tracy, Tobias gets hair plugs, which nearly raze him, J. Walter Weatherman (Steve Ryan) makes his triumphant return, and one of the greatest “gimmick” episodes of televions ever is created. The episode S.O.B.s, which stands for Attach Our Bluths, is a parody of the various gimmicks that television shows exercise to come by more ratings. There are numerous guest stars, most of whom are only on-screen for about a second, numerous references to the much-more-popular Desperate Housewives, a live segment, some 3D segments, and even a death! In the commercial for the episode correct before it aired (which is fortunately included in the status, because it adds humor to the episode and not seeing it would acquire one of the Narrator’s lines a cramped confusing), announcers said that “one of these characters would die”, and there was a rapid montage of most of the main characters and a few side characters. Turns out that the person who died was introduced in that episode and may not have even had a line of dialogue. Also, a lot of fans were hoping that HBO or Showtime would select the reveal up, and there were allusions to that speculation in the episode.
The last four episodes of the season may be some of the best in the show’s history. Featuring guest stars such as Reflect Reinhold, William Hung (in probably his greatest exhaust ever), Justine Bateman (Jason’s sister), Richard Belzer (playing his Detective John Munch character), and Ron Howard, making his first on-screen appearance on the reveal, we finally catch out the truth about George Sr’s crimes, and Annyong Bluth (Justin Lee) delivers one of the finest twists imaginable.
While the season started off a puny dumb, it became improbable, and, despite it’s brevity, may be the best season of the exhibit. Every episode from “The Ocean Walker” to “Harboring Resentment” (also known as “Development Arrested”) were pure gold. The show’s writers are all geniuses. I don’t know where some of the jokes were coming from, but they distinct know how to arrive up with some hilariously bizarre situations. The year, in addition to coming up with enormous novel jokes, expanded a lot on past jokes. One of my favorites was that GOB’s puppet Franklin became an trusty character in a sense, as opposed to a gag. Franklin even has his have fanbase now (I’m one of them) . After all three seasons of unsuccessful ratings, FOX finally killed the indicate. While I am very upset, I guess I have to hand it to FOX for sticking with the demonstrate for so long (from a ratings stand-point, it should have been killed after season 1) . Michael has so mighty talent. Beneficial album and great VHS. I objective descovered this page on amazon and I hope that a DVD version will be avaliable. I am writing the first review so hopefully I can obtain a certificate so I can find it as soon as possible. The DVD should acquire the same stuff that the VHS one contains (maybe the publishers may attach in more features) The video (and assumingly the DVD as well) contains all but 3 songs from the Perilous album (I Can’t Let Her Gather Away, She Drives Me Wild, & Withhold The Faith) .
